Calendulas are a skin-healing flower, one of the few flowers that can withstand the soap-making process and come out the other end with their original color. I prepare the calendula infused oil myself and extract the healing compounds of the flower into the liquid. The whole flower heads have antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties, natural components found in them are used by herbalists to gently treat skin conditions such as eczema and the healing of wounds and burns. It's not clear how many of this properties migrate into the soap. This amazing soap also contains coconut oil to make for fluffy lather, shea butter for conditioning the skin, castor oil for bubbles and it' naturally color by the calendulas. The color may be a light yellow or light orange, it varies according to the type of calendula flower used to infused the oil with: yellow or orange.

Lemongrass is a tropical, grassy plant used in cooking and herbal medicine. The lemongrass essential oil has a fresh earthy, citrus scent, and is steam distilled from the leaves. This essential oil is great for cold press soaps as it maintains the scent very well.

🌱INGREDIENTS (in order of weight)
Calendula Infused Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Distilled Water, Shea Butter, Sodium Hydroxide, Castor Oil, Lemongrass Essential Oil, Dried Calendula Petals.

Each bar is hand cut, and weighs a minimum of 5 oz. Shapes may vary.

Handmade bars of soap will last a long time if kept dry between uses and out of direct streams of water. Using a draining soap dish is a good practice.

I carefully craft my soaps using high quality ingredients, organic when possible, and using only natural and safe ingredients, however some recipes contain ingredients that are allergens for some individuals like nuts and coconut, maybe some type of essential oil, etc. Please read the ingredients list well.

If you are uncertain about a sensitivity, I recommend doing a patch test first to ensure that there is no reaction. If irritation occurs, please discontinue using the product.

My products do not claim to cure or prevent any disease or medical problem and do not intend to substitute for medical advice. Please consult your health care provider if you have any questions regarding a health condition.

I make all my soaps and skincare products from scratch, by hand and in small batches, in New Albany, IN. All my soaps are vegan. Each bar of soap cures for 4 to 6 weeks. This ensures that all the water has evaporated, leading to a harder bar of soap that will last longer, also provides time for the final saponification to take place and develop the crystalline structure of the soap.
